BRICS for the future
 When you look to the future you can’t ignore the rising powers such as India, China and Brazil. Emerging powers are changing development and aid as we know it. They challenge the dominant Western approaches to development and provide alternatives to the traditional donors. But what will their impact exactly be? Debates, as usual, swing from optimism to pessimism, particularly so when it comes to Africa.

Where some focus on the scramble for Africa others see the silver lining. That’s why we celebrate becoming part of the emerging powers knowledge programme. Emerging powers is a space for people to meet who want to learn more about the role of China, India and Brazil in the development of Africa. Research findings are shared and discussed with practitioners.
