Dialogues of policy, practitioner and academic knowledges
The development sector needs to become more knowledge intensive and more collaborative to make a difference. More than ever, a well developed ability to reflect on the activities, policies and vision within the sector to improve, innovate and develop solutions, and to discover what works and what does not is needed.
But knowledge development and the management and sharing of knowledge across domains within the sector are hampered. These are serious problems which go beyond the need to avoid duplication, overlap and fragmentation which are often cited as the need for more integrated approaches to knowledge. In this dialogue, we want to involve you in our conversations on the sense and nonsense of cross-domain knowledge integration. We will share with you our findings and experiences. Please tell us about yours!
This session is convened by Wenny Ho (independent consultant), Sarah Cummings (Context/IKM emergent) and Josine Stremmelaar (Hivos).
